The Canvas Full of Ballerinas (That part that comes after Part 1 that was never definitively labled as 'Part 1' but is )
Hello there!
I'm back again to finish that other post! (Yay!)
I also need to finish those historical profiles on those artists previously mentioned which I may finish up and upload before this goes up. But as of now, here we are.
The list of Items you will need to create this canvas of ballerinas is already listed in the post that I will link for you here, if you cannot find it on your own. I will not re-type that extremely long and daunting list again for obvious reasons, but I will change one thing.
Paint colours needed to complete this Canvas:
-Black
-Blue
-White
-Brown
-Red
-Silver
-Glitter (optional)
Now, we begin as we did before, with a blank canvas, that we sketched on.
I will also actually recommend finding a picture you want to paint or making a sketch of something you want to paint (nothing fancy just a rough outline) so that you can have an idea of what you want to size onto your canvas. Whatever you do, don't paint first. I mean, I guess if you really don't care I can't blame you or stop you really. I can't (contrary to popular belief) reach through the computer screen and make you do the painting my way, even if I want to. I will just give you the best suggestions I can to help you along your way with the painting.
So first things first I say you get your papers set down, and set out paints and have a table drawn up for you to use to hold all of your items.
After you've chosen what you want to paint, and how you've wanted them to look, use your sketches to sketch your canvas layout.
Next begin a painting of the background, it is okay to paint over your sketches patially or fully though painting fully will require time to dry as well

It's hard to explain how I did my background, but it involves layering the colours and overlapping and not being scared that your brush has more than one colour coming off on it.
This is just a close up example of the paint and canvas layering effect you can get.
After this, paint the skin, then shoes, then leotards, then skirts. Finally paint your hair.
If you want, you can add random splotches of paint over the canvas to either add to the three dimensional effect (for mine it allowed the blurr I later added into the picture to assume the idea of watching through a watery window, you can add flecks of paint like snow) I added some silver, white and even a bit of the lighter blues. But how random and if there are any random splotches at all is totally up to you and your artistic liberties.
So there you are, Part Two ACCOMPLISHED!
(Yay)
I hope you guys (and girls) liked this little artistic detour we took here, and if you would like more painting, or sketching tutorials or just me showing you what I've done lately I will totally do it if you want!
So, comment below what you thought and what you've done artistically this summer! If you manage to make one of these (the easel or canvas) or something similar, feel free to shoot a comment below about how it worked out and put a picture on it if you can, because I'd love to see what you can come up with!
Until next time,
Aubrilynn x
